Moodle is an open source learning management system used by faculty members and students whether the course is offered primarily face-to-face, or is web-enhanced, blended, hybrid, and online. A team of IT staff and electronic learning professionals manage the Moodle site. Please email them your suggestions at moodle@louisiana.edu.

First-time faculty users are encouraged to complete CAFE Level 1 training to become proficient at using all the functions available within the Moodle environment. For more information on CAFE, please visit the Office of Distance and Electronic Learning homepage at http://distancelearning.ucs.louisiana.edu/.

Student Help Videos Now Available
by Lucas W Dowden - Monday, 30 August 2010, 10:35 AM

The Office of Moodle Support has recently released three videos to assist students with posting assignments, participating in forums, and checking grades.

Nola Navarre has spent several weeks writing the scripts, producing the videos, and editing these short presentations. The videos are located on the Moodle homepage (http://moodle.louisiana.edu) in the Main Menu block at the top left hand side under the title “Student Help Videos.”

Please alert students in your hybrid and online course sections to these resources. It is our hope that they will save you time in answering common questions regarding assignments, forums, and grades.

Additional student help videos are in production now including taking an online quiz and updating one’s profile in Moodle.
